Panificio Melli’s Chestnut Cake is the traditional autumn dessert. Also known as Pattona, prepared with chestnut flour, soft and delicious. Perfect for an evening with friends or for a Sunday lunch that gathers the whole family, it tells the story of our territory, especially in our hills. During the harvest, the whole family, helped by neighbors, went to the chestnut grove to collect large bags full of chestnuts. At sunset, they often gathered to keep watch around the fireplace, chatting and telling stories while waiting to taste this precious fruit, which pleases both adults and children.
